Village of Waterford Street and Parking Regulation Schedule

Pursuant to the sections of the Code of the Village of Waterford indicated, and the taking of the appropriate action by the Village board, the following streets are designated as through or one-way streets, and the following parking regulations shall be enforced In the Village of Waterford upon the erection of the appropriate signs:

207-3. Through Streets

Through street means every highway or portion thereof which has been declared by the state, the county or the Village to be a through highway and at the entrances to which vehicular traffic from intersecting highways is required by traffic control signals or stop signs to stop. In the interest of public safety and pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 349.07, the following streets or portions thereof are declared to be through streets.

207-4. One-Way Streets.


The following streets are designated as one-way streets.

207-7. Parking Restrictions, Parking Signs and Pavement Markings.

  A. Fifteen-minute parking. The operator of a vehicle shall not park for longer than 15 minutes at a time from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm of any day, except Sundays and holidays, within the area designated as the post office entrance on North Milwaukee Street.
  B. Thirty-minute parking. The operator of a vehicle shall not park for longer than 30 minutes at a time on the following street or portion thereof:  Barnes Drive / South Side - 7:00 am - 4:00 pm - Any day on which school is in session / From Field Drive westerly to a point which is 380 feet west of Field Drive.
  C. One-hour parking. The operator of a vehicle shall not park for longer than one hour at a time from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm during days in which public schools are in session on the following streets.
  D. Two-hour parking. the operator of a vehicle shall not park for longer than two hours at a time on the following streets or portions thereof.
  E. No parking at any time on these streets.
  F. No trailer parking on these streets
  G. Heavy Traffic. No vehicle defined as heavy traffic in s. 207-5B of the Code of the Village of Waterford shall be parked in any designated municipal parking lot or area in the Village without a special events or other applicable Village permit.
  H. Parking prohibited certain hours. The operator of a vehicle shall not park on the days and times specified on the following streets or portions thereof.  
  I. Loading zones. The Village Board may establish loading zones by Resolution, and are not required to be included in this Schedule.
  J. Angle parking. Angle parking may be approved by Resolution and enforced by pavement parking.  
  K. Temporary parking restrictions. Temporary parking restrictions are not required to be included in this Schedule.
  L. Municipal Parking Lot Restrictions. No person may park in a municipal lot for more than 24 continuous hours.
   No person may park any vehicle classified as 'heavy traffic' in a municipal lot unless specifically allowed to do so under s. 207-5 of the Code of the Village of Waterford.
   No person may park any trailer in a municipal parking lot unless authorized to do so by special event permit of written authorization from the Village of Waterford, provided, however, that boat trailer parking is allowed in the Village Hall Parking Lot when such parking is in compliance with posted signs.
 

207-14  All-night Parking Prohibited; Alternate Side Parking


  A. No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle on a state or county trunk highway within the Village between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
  B. No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle on any street or alley in the Village which is not a state or county trunk highway between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., except as herein provided:
    (1) On even numbered calendar dates, vehicles may be parked on the side of the street adjacent to lots and houses that have even numbers.  On odd numbered calendar dates, vehicles may be parked on the side of the street adjacent to lots and houses that have odd numbers.  Alternate-side parking rules are determined on the calendar date after 12:00 midnight; e.g.: It is December 3, at 10:00 p.m., and a person does not plan to move his or her vehicle until the next morning; that person would park on the even side of the street because it will be December 4 after midnight and alternate-side parking is in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.  Alternate-side parking is enforced 365 days of the year.
    (2)(a) Where alternate-side parking is not available, including but not limited to a cul-de-sac or a block where no parking is allowed on one side of the street at any time, parking during the specified hours shall be allowed on the only available side of the street.
    (2)(b) Where a street is circular and there are no odd numbered addresses, the person shall park on the outside (even side) of the circle on even days and the inside of the circle on odd days.
