Welcome to Waterford!

Greetings and welcome to the Village of Waterford. We're excited to welcome you to our Village, whether it's an in-person visit or online. If it's online, we hope you'll visit our community soon and enjoy the many amenities we have to offer - tasty choices in dining, fine selections in shopping, and a wealth of activities, events, entertainment, and recreation! Too top it off, Waterford is a wonderful place to live and raise your family with excellent schools and family activities or to retire in comfort with low crime, a great library, great healthcare, and many events for all ages. 

Perhaps, one of the best things about Waterford is the people. Super friendly, quick to offer a hello, or a hand, and the best volunteers in the state. The many events sponsored by local non-profits -- Balloonfest, Rivers Edge Art Walk, Spring Expo, Full Moon 4-Miler, River Rhythms, Lions Chicken Barbecue, Waterford Softball, Lions 4th of July Parade, Winter Wonderland Parade, and a host of church, school, and other festivals, events, concerts, performances, and sports are possible because of our dedicated volunteers, committed to making Waterford the best place to live, work, and play!
 
Waterford public schools are always among the top in the state, and our high school recently was named 51st in the United States! A private Catholic school rounds out education in the Village, setting students on a good path to the future. 
 
Explore Waterford heads up the Village's downtown revitalization efforts as a member of the state and national Main Street programs and supports our business community.

The Village government is working just as diligently to support these organizations, provide excellent services for its citizens, and share the story of Waterford! Road and utility infrastructure projects are ensuring that the bones of the Village prepare Waterford to meet the needs of its citizens and the business community. Creating a recreation destination that recognizes the natural treasure that flows through the heart of the Village - the Fox River - continues as new opportunities to enjoy the river and surrounding area open up. The Village Board participated in recent strategic planning sessions which has provided a blueprint to continue to grow and be a vibrant community for decades and more to come!
